Chloe Day at Underground City Tavern By Tom Irwin Chloe Day, a St. Louis native now residing in LA, first performed in Springfield back in July, at the Underground City Tavern, to a, shall we say, less-than-capacity crowd. I watched those patrons who were fortunate enough to attend the show (or, more likely, who were just hanging out in the bar) become mesmerized by the alluring concoction of acoustic folk-pop and trip-hop electronica emanating from the stage. Toss in the fact that Day is a really nice person, sincerely and wholeheartedly pursuing a career in music the old-fashioned way — through live shows, radio interviews, and record-store concerts — and you’ve got the real thing. She’s a unique talent — provocative, stimulating, and well worth a look and listen at 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Underground City Tavern (700 E. Adams St., 217-789-1530).
